Today I took Emma to McDonald's for her very first happy meal. She has been such a good girl lately that I decided she deserved a nice little treat. She was so excited as we pulled up I asked her what she would like and she stated chicken nuggets and milk Momma! Here are a few pictures of her enjoying her happy meal.

Big Girl Bed
Well it is official. Emma is finally in a big girl bed. Everything is going really well and she is doing so great. We have been rocking her every night since the day she came home from the hospital but since the switch into her big girl bed we have stopped rocking her and are now letting her fall asleep on her own. The new trick is to rub her back for a few minutes and then slowing move your way out the door. I really think she needed this independence. Once we have this down it will be on to potty training. Our goal is to have her potty trained by the end of this summer. Well here are a few new photos of her in her bed girl bed!!!! Yay Emma. We love you and our very proud of you.

I can not even believe only 3 months until Emma is 2
Emma turns 21 months tomorrow and I just can not even believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was counting her tiny toes and fingers and holding her in my arms for the first time. Now I am lucky if I can even get her to cuddle for a minute with me. All is going well, she is getting so big and growing so fast. I am confident she is going to have her daddy's height. We have started preparations for her second birthday which we be "Under the Sea". She is in love with the little mermaid so that is what we have decided. Happy 21 months Emma. Mommy and Daddy love you very much.

Our Little Princess

So as most of you know Emma is obsessed with Ariel from the Little Mermaid but is also really into the Disney Princess's. For Christmas she received lots of gifts that are based on the Disney princesses. Auntie Kathleen was nice enough to get Emma dress up clothes. Here is a picture of our pretty little princess.
Emma is doing great and talking so much now. It is unreal how everyday she says and does something different. I am not just saying this because she is my child but she is a very bright little girl. I walked in from work the other night and clear as day she asked me to give her a hug and she told me how much she loved me. It is such a wonderful feeling and these types of things are what make being a parent so special.

What an amazing Christmas we had. Christmas Eve we spent at home with just the four of us. It was great. We made cookies, had a nice dinner and then relaxed. Emma was so excited to put out the reindeer food and cookies for Santa. We woke up around 7:30 on Christmas day and the look on Emma's face when we got downstairs which just priceless. She opened all her presents from Santa and then Mommy and Daddy and then we heard a knock on the door. To Emma's surprise there stood Santa. At first she didn't know what to do but then she sat right down next to Santa and opened all the presents he brought in his sack. After Santa left we got ready for a busy day with family. We had our entire family over for Christmas lunch. It was so nice to have everyone in the same place this year and to see Emma open all the gifts and enjoy all of her family. Once everyone left Emma just relaxed and played with all her new toys and then it was off to bed. It was a great Christmas, one that we will never forget. Thank you everyone for all the nice things you bought for Emma. We love you all. A special thank you to Santa!

I just wanted to share some pictures of my 2 favorite little girls. Emma and Abbey. Last night we had Abbey and Jeff over for our Christmas exchange. Emma was so excited to see Abbey. The way she looks at Abbey just makes me want to cry. There is something very special about Abbey that Emma sees and it is amazing. As soon as she walked in the door Emma had this sparkle in her eye like nothing I have ever seen. Abbey is very special to me because she is my 1st goddaughter and to know that she is that special to my daughter just brings so much joy to me. We don't get to see Abbey very often but when we do see her, we love every minute of it. Abbey is such a wonderful little girl and we LOVE her to pieces. Abbey I want you to know that seeing you with Emma and how helpful you are with her makes be a very proud Godmother. Your a terrifc kid.
