First Bang Trim

Well Emma had her bangs trimmed for the first time on Wednesday night. My oldest niece Kirstie who is going to school to be a hairdresser cut them for me. She was so cute, but would not sit still, which of course is typical of a 11 month old baby. I saved her bangs and put them in her baby book. I try to make sure I capture all these special little events so someday she will look back at her baby book and be able to see what she did as a infant. Everyone is doing great and we are all looking forward to Emma's 1st birthday day.

Home from Germany

Well I finally arrived home from Germany on Saturday and boy was I happy to see my family. Robert and Emma were waiting for me at the airport and as soon as I say them both I burst into tears. I missed them so much. I had a great time while away and it was a great learning experience for me but I am sure glad I am home now. I was happy to hear that while I was away everything went really well and Emma did not give Robert any troubles. I just want to Thank God for keeping me and my family safe while I was in Germany. I will share pictures once I have them but what a great place to visit.

T minus 4 days for Germany

Well in four days I leave for Germany. This will be my first time leaving Emma for so long. As you can imagine by mind is going crazy and I am fighting back tears everyday as it gets closer. I am not looking forward to leaving her even though I know she will be in good hands. My mom has taken the week off to help Robert out and at night she will be with her Daddy. Robert is a great father and I know he'll be fine, but I am just going to miss my family so much. I am looking forward to the experience of traveling with work and the things I will see in Germany but I am glad that this trip will not be one I make often. I just hope that the week goes by quickly and I can get home to see my baby girl, husband and dog. Wish me safe travels and I will post about my trip when I get home. Love to you all!

Feeling Better and back to normal

Well Emma is finally feeling herself. She went to the doctors on Monday for her 9 month check up and all is well. She had a really bad stomach bug the week before and that is why she lost weight and was not eating well. But I am happy to say that as of this past weekend her appetite is back and she is happy as a clam. At her 9 month check up she weighed in at 18lbs 10oz and she is 29 1/4 inches long. She is in the 90% for height and 70% for weight. We decided last night after many months of debating to get her ears pierced. We took her to a place in the mall and boy did she cry. I felt like a horrible mother to see her crying but she looks so cute now with her little earrings in. I will post some pictures when I can but I wanted to report that all is well in the Yelle house once again.

Crazy Whirlwind Life

So the last 2 weeks I spent my life in Boston in Federal Court as a juror. It was very interesting but I'll tell you one thing I could never commute into Boston everyday. I had to get up so early every morning and got home late every night. My time spent with Emma during those 2 weeks was very little since she was in daycare all day and then by the time I got home she was almost ready for bed:( So to top things off she has been really sick this month and Robert and I just can not figure it out. It started on the 9th of January she was running a little fever then again on Saturday she had a fever, but on Sunday my god the poor little thing was on fire. With a fever of 104 we took her into the emergency room and of course they took forever. 4 hours later they told us that all the tests they ran were fine and that she probably (by the way I hate that word) had a virus in her body that she just could not fight so they gave her a shot of a antibiotic in her thigh and she should be fine, well she was until this past weekend when yet again she got sick. This time she is pucking like crazy but no fever. I am just at a loss because she is not eating and not herself and I am really worried. She goes to the Dr. on Monday but Monday can not come fast enough. I will let everyone know how she makes out but please keep us in your prayers and thoughts.

Emma's first Christmas

Well what an exciting Christmas we had with Emma. She was just so cute. On Christmas Eve my family came over to my new home for dinner and to bake cookies for Santa. After they left Mommy, Daddy, Emma and Pesky got ready for Santa to come. We left out chocolate chip cookies and milk for Santa and then we read the Polar Express and then it was time for bed. On Christmas Day Emma woke around 8 and then opened all her presents from Santa. She was more interested in the bows and paper than the toys and clothes Santa had left. After we opened all the presents from Santa we got ready for a busy day. We spent the day with Robert's family and had a wonderful dinner, after that it was off to Nonna and Gramps for dessert. After a long day and full bellies we headed back home and got ready for bed. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and day.
