A day fit for a princess

Since Lily will be making her appearance in about 7 weeks, Robert and I decided that we should do one last really fun thing with Emma before her little sister arrives and life changes for everyone. We debated what we would do with her and where we would go for quite sometime, and in the end we decided on King Richard's Faire. We did not tell her where we were going, only that she could dress like a princess for this outing. Of course if anyone knows my daughter this was right up her alley. As we were almost there we decided OK let's tell her. So we told her and the look on her face was priceless. We got to the faire, and she was in complete an utter Aww. She had so much fun, she got to go on rides, see everyone dressed up, watch a tiger show and so much more. We had a terrific day as a family and it really made me a happy mother when at the end of it all she said, Thanks Mommy and Daddy for always doing these special things for me. She is truly a wonderful daughter and I could not ask for anything more. Here are some amazing photos from our day.

9 weeks to go

So we have only 9 weeks left until my actual due date. I can not even believe how fast the time has gone by. Everything is ready to go for baby Lily's arrival. We are all so excited to meet her. This past weekend my family had a baby sprinkle for me which is a very small baby shower. It was a wonderful time, and Lily received lots of nice clothes. Emma is doing great these days. She has adjusted very well to Pre-K and is writing letters and numbers like you would not believe. She is also reciting the Pledge of Allegiance which is something to be really proud of. Dance class started last week and that is going well! Robert and I are both doing great, just patiently waiting for our second little princess. I feel great, and haven't even had to wear any maternity clothes, I still fit into all my everyday normal clothing. Go me! Well all is good here. I will be sure to share more as the time comes closer to Lily's arrival.

24 weeks pregnant

So Monday I had my 24 wk appointment and got to have another sneak peak at Miss Lily. All is well and she is at the proper weight and length that she should be for 24 weeks. We are just about prepared to have this little one arrive. The crib and dressers will arrive on Saturday and then it is time to paint. Emma and I will be heading out tonight to pick the paint for little Miss Lily. We are trying to involve Emma in as much as possible because she really seems to be into having a little sister. Things are bit tough right now because we are trying to figure out child care for both kids and it is just so expensive so I am not sure what we will do. Other than that all is well in the Yelle household and we are counting the weeks until our little bundle of joy arrives. Here is Miss Lily at 24 weeks.

Amazing Summer Vacation

All though vacation started off with a trip to the ER (Emma sliced the corner of her eye open) it was an amazing week. We started off with day trips in Mass as a family and then headed to NY for our annual family camping trip. This trip was really amazing because Emma experienced alot of firsts. She had her very first canoe ride, she caught her first fish, and she spent alot of time at Robert's family's Camp. Her behavior couldn't have been better. She is just an amazing little girl. Tomorrow it is back to reality which is sad, but all good things come to an end. Here are some photo's of the amazing week we had.

It's been awhile!

It seems like forever since I have posted and it really has been forever. Everything is going really well with our family. As most of you know we are expecting our second child in November and we couldn't be happier. Emma is very excited to be a big sister. She is so sweet, she kisses my belly all the time and tells the baby she loves him/her. Robert started a new job about 3 weeks ago now and things are going really well. All though it is a much different schedule, he is actually home on Saturdays which makes for much more fun on the weekends as family. Emma is doing great. She is such a smart little 3yr old that sometimes it just blows my mind. She will be having her very first dance recital in a few weekends and I could not be a prouder mommy. Pesky is is normal pesky self. He is doing great as well. So sorry it has been a long time but as you can see things have been quite crazy these days with all these changes.

Preparing for 3

So yesterday we sent out the invitations for Emma's 3rd birthday. It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is turning 3. Time does certainly fly by. This year we thought we would do things different since Emma's actual birthday is on Easter Sunday. So we will have a friends/parents party 2 weeks before and then a family party on Easter Sunday. Not only to celebrate Easter but also to celebrate a very special someones birthday. We decided for the kids party we would leave it all up to Emma, some may so I am crazy but my almost 3 year was very clear on who and where she wanted which was fine with us. Today we received 2 RSVP's and Emma could not be happier. The theme of her party this year is Rapunzel from the new Disney movie Tangled. It should be a very fun filled day that we are all very excited for.

Winter Carnival 2011

Well yet again this year we made our annual visit to Saranac Lake for the 2011 Winter Carnival. We arrived on Friday and spent the day relaxing and spending time with Auntie Cindy. We don't get to see her often so our visit are quite precious. Auntie Cindy knows how much I love shrimp scampi so that was on the menu for Friday. On Saturday we headed into Lake Placid, which is where after a very long awaited trip down the toboggan run happened. It was so much fun and to see the expression on Emma's face was just priceless. Sunday was a day of snowboarding and hanging as a family. We headed home on Monday for Valentine's Day and had a nice relaxing night as a family. It is always sad to say good bye to Auntie Cindy but it is always a great trip. Thanks Auntie for a great time. We love you and miss you already!

Preschool Days

Well yesterday Emma officially started preschool. It was a bittersweet day for us. Our baby is certainly not a baby anymore. She was so very excited to start preschool. She picked out her own clothes the night before and was quite happy to finally wear her new sneakers from Mommy that are custom made. Oh the advantages of working for Reebok :) When I picked her up she had nothing but good things to say and how she loved preschool so much. I was so happy to hear this. Emma you are such a big girl and you make Mommy and Daddy so proud. We love you so much. You light up our lives with your great personality and amazing little smile!
