Swimming Lessons

Well as of last Tuesday Emma and Robert have been attending swimming lessons at the YMCA. They are held for seven weeks on Tuesday nights. Normally I am at work so I don't get to go but because I was on vacation I was able to attend yesterday's class. She was so cute and does such a good job for only being 1. Clearly I am a distraction when I am there so I will only be going back for her last class to see how much she learned over seven weeks. I think it is great that her and her Daddy get to spend some quality time together. Once she is done with swim lessons, Emma and I will be attending class at The Little Gym.

Happy First Birthday Emma Rose

I know it's not until tomorrow but we wanted to wish Emma a Happy 1st Birthday. We are so lucky to have such a healthy, smart, determined little girl. She has brought so much joy and happiness to every one's life in the past year it is amazing. We love every minute of everyday we spend with her and we can't wait until tomorrow to celebrate her first birthday. We are taking the day off to go to Sesame Street Live and have lunch in Boston, and then we have a big party planned for Saturday. So Happy 1st Birthday Emma, We Love you so much. Mommy and Daddy

Where has the last year gone

Wow, I can't believe a year as almost past since the day Emma came into this world. I am amazed at how quickly she has grown and how in the past 2 months she has developed quite a personality. One year olds are quite determined little people. She is such a joy and always so happy. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter and have a life filled with so much joy and happiness.

Emma's first trip to the ER and 2 stitches later

Well little Miss Emma had her first trip to the ER. On Saturday as we were getting ready to leave for Natalie's birthday party she tripped and fell over her blanket and hit the corner of the door hinge. Needless to say we did not make it to Natalie's party instead with headed to the ER. As most people know Emma is always happy and never cranky, you would have never known she just cut her above her eye open, except for the fact that she was bleeding. She was sitting in the ER playing like nothing every happened, that was until they called us in and told us she would need 2 stitches. They had to put her in this straight jacket type thing and the nurse, Robert and I had to hold her down. She cried so much and it broke my heart to see her like that. Now let's just hope she doesn't have a nasty scar. My poor baby, what can I say she has 2 left feet like Mommy.

What a wonderful Father

I just had to share this with everyone. You all know this but I needed to show you how much Robert really enjoys being a dad. Saturday when Robert came home from work he came in with a peach rose for me and by my surprise he had a red rose for Emma. She just melts his heart and you can see how much she loves him and how much he loves her. All though she is too little to remember this, I took this picture so that someday she could see how special she really is to her daddy even at 11 months old. He is just so sweet and loving, how did I get so blessed?

Loving the outdoors

Well now that Emma is walking and all over the place, it is clear she loves to be outside. Here are a few pictures of her enjoying the nice weather we are finally seeing. As you can see we make many trips to the park with her because it is a 5 minute walk from our house.
