Merry Christmas

What an amazing Christmas we had. Christmas Eve we spent at home with just the four of us. It was great. We made cookies, had a nice dinner and then relaxed. Emma was so excited to put out the reindeer food and cookies for Santa. We woke up around 7:30 on Christmas day and the look on Emma's face when we got downstairs which just priceless. She opened all her presents from Santa and then Mommy and Daddy and then we heard a knock on the door. To Emma's surprise there stood Santa. At first she didn't know what to do but then she sat right down next to Santa and opened all the presents he brought in his sack. After Santa left we got ready for a busy day with family. We had our entire family over for Christmas lunch. It was so nice to have everyone in the same place this year and to see Emma open all the gifts and enjoy all of her family. Once everyone left Emma just relaxed and played with all her new toys and then it was off to bed. It was a great Christmas, one that we will never forget. Thank you everyone for all the nice things you bought for Emma. We love you all. A special thank you to Santa!

Emma and Abbey

I just wanted to share some pictures of my 2 favorite little girls. Emma and Abbey. Last night we had Abbey and Jeff over for our Christmas exchange. Emma was so excited to see Abbey. The way she looks at Abbey just makes me want to cry. There is something very special about Abbey that Emma sees and it is amazing. As soon as she walked in the door Emma had this sparkle in her eye like nothing I have ever seen. Abbey is very special to me because she is my 1st goddaughter and to know that she is that special to my daughter just brings so much joy to me. We don't get to see Abbey very often but when we do see her, we love every minute of it. Abbey is such a wonderful little girl and we LOVE her to pieces. Abbey I want you to know that seeing you with Emma and how helpful you are with her makes be a very proud Godmother. Your a terrifc kid.

Rockin around the Christmas Tree

This past weekend Emma attended her 2nd Annual Kids X-Mas party at the PACC. She had lots of fun, and was singing and dancing with all the other kids. This Christmas party is one I attended every year as a child, and then when I was to old to attend I would volunteer. It is so nice to share these same traditions with Emma. Attached is a video of her at the party. Enjoy!

The count down is on!

Only 4 more days until Santa arrives. I can not wait. Emma is already so excited, I can't imagine what Christmas Day will bring. We will be having our entire family at our house for Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day so everyone will be able to share in Emma's Christmas experience. My dad will be dressing up as Santa for Emma which will be really cool, to see the look on her face when she realizes that Santa is in her house, and giving gifts just to her. I will share pictures after the holiday. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and gets everything they want. Love to you all.

Last year was our first ride and it was a wonderful experience but this year was just absolutely amazing. Emma had the best time ever. She sat and had hot chocolate, with nice warm chocolate chip cookies. She was so excited to see Santa and receive her very own bell from his sleigh. Mommy and Daddy had a great time as well singing Christmas carols, and enjoying our time as a family with the best little girl in the whole wide world.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Emma had a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful weekend. We spent Thanksgiving at Robert's parents and then ended the day with a visit to my parent's. Emma was so good all day, and really enjoyed her thanksgiving meal, although she didn't eat much turkey she at least gave it a try. On Friday Emma and I spent the day decorating our house for Christmas. She was so cute, and actually a really big help. Saturday we headed back to Robert's parents for another family get together, and then Emma spent the night at Nonna and Gramp's so Mommy and Daddy could go out. Sunday Emma headed to Edaville Railroad with Tia and Uncle Nate. She had a great time and was such a good girl for them. Here are some picture's from our holiday weekend.

19 Months Already

Wow, really where does the time go. Today Emma is 19 months old which means only 5 more months and she will be 2. She has been sick with a really bad cold so the weekend and last week were really tough. She is finally feeling a little better and returned back to daycare today. I really just can't even believe how quickly our baby is growing. She talks so much now and she says I love you now which is by far the best thing in the world. Well we hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we will post pictures after the holiday. Enjoy and eat lots!

Toe Jam Puppet Band

We had a wonderful weekend with Emma this past weekend. On Saturday Emma spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's and Mommy and Daddy did all the fall house cleaning. On Sunday we had a brunch with the Mansur's at our house and then on Monday it was off to see The Toe Jam Puppet Band. Emma had such a great time, she was singing and dancing. It was amazing to sit back and just watch her with the other kids that aren't even her age, and how she wasn't afraid to get up there with them and sing and dance. She is so smart for only being 1 years old. At the end of the show we bought her the CD and she was so excited. Needless to say we have been listening to it since Monday. Here are few pictures of her over the weekend.

18 month check up

Well Emma had her 18 month visit today. She is doing great. She weighs 25lbs and is 34 inches tall. She gets her height from her daddy, thankfully. She also had all of her 18 month vaccinations. We did decide to give her the H1N1 shot because we don't want to take any chances with our little one. If she wasn't in daycare I don't think we would have done it but being in daycare you are exposed to so many germs. She also received the seasonal flu shot as well and will go back to the doctor's next month for the second dosage of both. So all in all a very healthy little girl but a not so happy little girl today. Can you blame her 4 shots in one day.

Trick or Treat

What a great Halloween we had. We started our day by visiting with family so everyone could see Emma dressed up. Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's to trick or treat around there neighborhood. We decided to pull Emma in her wagon, which was great because she didn't have to walk on the street, and she never got tired. We were only out for about 45 minutes which was enough time for a 1 year old. She had a great time, and was able to have her very first piece of candy. Do you know what she picked, a Reese's peanut butter cup. Smart girl!

Pumpkin Carving

Well we continued the tradition again this year of carving pumpkins. Every year since Robert and I have been together we have always carved pumpkins. Since Emma has come into the picture I decided that I would carve a pumpkin every year just for her (of course until she's old enough to do it herself) with her favorite thing. Last year I carved Elmo and this year I carved Ariel. She was so excited to see the pumpkin this morning. Just seeing her face was well worth all the effort I put into it.

18 months have past

Wow, we really can't believe that Emma will be 18 months on the 24th. Where has the time gone. She is doing great, and as you can see getting so big. Robert swears she weighs 30lbs but I don't think so, I am thinking 27lbs but we will see on November 2nd when she goes for her 18 month check-up. Here are few pictures of Emma taken over the past few weeks.

Apple Picking

On October 11th Me, Emma, Auntie Shara and Jacob headed out to CN Smith Farms in East Bridgewater for a fun filled day of apple picking, hayrides, pony rides and more. What a difference this year to last year. This year Emma was able to walk all by herself and hold her own apple bag, as well as pick her own apples. She had a blast, and of course Jacob was a big help in assisting Emma. It was a great day. Here are a few pictures from apple picking. Enjoy!

I Love my family

What a great weekend we had. Friday night Emma and I visited with Auntie Shara, Uncle Frank and Jacob at their new house. It is really nice and while Emma and Jacob played, Shara and I were able to get some unpacking done. On Saturday we had a nice day. Robert worked till 12 then we just relaxed as a family and spent some good quality time together. I made a nice roasted chicken (you gotta love the fall all this wonderful cooking going on) for dinner and then we played with Emma some more and then it was off to bed. On Sunday we had a nice family breakfast, Daddy cooked eggs and bacon and then it was off to see Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D. Robert and I didn't know how well Emma would do considering it was her first time to the movies and she is only 1, but we thought with a little luck we would get through it so we gave it a go. She did great. She sat in her own chair most of the time and had some popcorn with Mommy and Daddy. We made it through all of Toy Story 1 and half of Toy Story 2. We ended the night off with a nice fire in the backyard fireplace where we sat and toasted marshmallows and relaxed. It was a wonderful weekend.

WOW 12 years together

Wow, who would have thought that 2 people that met their freshmen year of high school would end up married, with a beautiful daughter and our own home. I can't believe that Robert and I have been in a relationship for 12 years. Granted we have only been married 2 but being together for 12 years and hitting all the bumps in the road that we have hit is saying something. At times I thought we would never make it but we always managed to work things out and have defied the odds. It is not very common to hear of high school sweethearts that end up where we are today.
I just want to say that I love you Robert with all my heart. You truly are the best. I don't know where we would be without one another but I am so glad that I found you and that I have been so blessed with such wonderful things. Happy 12 year Anniversary! I Love you!

Biting

Well I knew because of the age Emma is at, that someday I would get a call from Daycare telling me that either Emma had bit another child or had been bitten. Well today was the day I received the phone call from Miss Brittney. She informed be that Emma had been bitten by another child, and then a little later in the day Emma bit someone else. I guess the book we bought her Teeth are not for Biting", did us no good. Ha!Ha!

So excited

Well I just booked tickets for the 2009 Polar Express. I know I am a planner and always ahead of the game. (Most of you are probably laughing at me)

Robert and I decided last year that we would make the Polar Express ride an annual Christmas tradition with Emma. She had a great time last year even though she was only 9 months old. We are really looking forward to Christmas this year since she is talking and walking. Well it is 3 months away but just wanted to share my excitement with everyone that I was able to get tickets.

17 Months Old

Wow, I can't even believe it. Emma is already 17 months old. Where has the time gone. She is doing really good and now starting to say a new word every day. Her newest word this weekend was "Touchdown". Can you guess who taught her that. Everyone is doing really well. Emma just got over a really bad cold but other than that all is well in the Yelle household.
Here are a few pictures of Emma from Labor Day weekend. Look at my stylish little baby girl.

The oldest and youngest member of the Yelle family

On August 14th Emma's great-grandpa Yelle turned 90. The family had a big party for him at Steve and Lorri's. It was a great time and Emma was able to see all of her cousin's on the Yelle side. Emma is so fortunate to have great grandparents from both sides of Robert's family. Grandparents are such a wonderful thing to have. Here is a photo of Emma with her Great Grandpa Yelle.

Already 16 months old

Emma is doing very well. The time is just flying by. We can't believe our baby is already 16 months old. Before you know it she will be turning 2. Well everyone is doing really great. Our busy summer is finally coming to an end. We have had alot going on this summer so now we will be able to get some things done in the house and finally enjoy our new home. Well here are just a few pictures of Emma from this past weekend. Enjoy.

Baby look gone, Toddler look in!

Just wanted to share a recent picture of Emma taken this Saturday. As you can see she is not looking like a baby anymore, she definitely looks like a true toddler now. This is one of my favorite pictures of my baby girl, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

Big Girl

So amazingly funny lately with Emma's eating habits. The last few nights for dinner we have been giving Emma her dinner and she won't eat. She gets all upset and cries, that she doesn't want it. We couldn't figure it out until Sunday when we were visiting with the Mansur's. The problem is Emma loves to eat what we are eating but does not want it cut up and in small pieces. (She's a big girl as I was told) So on Sunday we let her at it, and she had corn on the cob like a big girl! Then again on Monday, Daddy made chicken wings, she would not eat the chicken cut up she had to have it like a big girl! Sometimes I wonder is my child really 15 months old, or she is 5. To cute, and way to funny.

Another hair cut for the little princess

Well it seems as though Emma's shampoo has miracle grow in it. This is her 4th haircut since the very first one she had back in March. Just wanted to share some photos and say a BIG Thank you to my niece Kirstie for always cutting Emma's hair and being such a great niece. We love you Kirstie or as Emma say Tirstie. Ha!Ha!

Emma's first Camping Trip

On July 10th we headed to Saranac Lake, NY for our annual family camping trip. This was Emma's very first vacation and very first time camping. She had a blast and did really well. Apart from the rain we had, it was a good time. Seeing Emma all dirty and just playing in the dirt and not having a care in the world was great. She also had her very first ride on a boat. She absolutely loved it! Every time we went out on the boat she would fall asleep.

Happy Birthday USA

What a great time we had this year with Emma on the 4th of July. We spent Friday with Robert's family to celebrate Amy's 30th birthday. It was a great day and Emma was able to experience sparklers (Thank you Uncle David) all on her own. She was so cute and not afraid at all. Saturday we went to a party at Uncle David's and Emma was able to again see fireworks and play on the slip and slide with the kids. Sunday was the best day of the whole weekend. We had a picnic with the Machado family and the kids played in the sprinkler and went on the four wheeler. Robert and I also took Emma to fireworks Sunday night and she loved them so much. Here are a few photo's from the weekend. Enjoy!
