Emma's first Christmas

Well what an exciting Christmas we had with Emma. She was just so cute. On Christmas Eve my family came over to my new home for dinner and to bake cookies for Santa. After they left Mommy, Daddy, Emma and Pesky got ready for Santa to come. We left out chocolate chip cookies and milk for Santa and then we read the Polar Express and then it was time for bed. On Christmas Day Emma woke around 8 and then opened all her presents from Santa. She was more interested in the bows and paper than the toys and clothes Santa had left. After we opened all the presents from Santa we got ready for a busy day. We spent the day with Robert's family and had a wonderful dinner, after that it was off to Nonna and Gramps for dessert. After a long day and full bellies we headed back home and got ready for bed. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and day.

Emma's first Christmas Party

Well with all the snow we had in Mass this weekend, I didn't think we would make it to Emma's first Christmas party but we did. Every year the PACC hosts the children's Christmas party, and so because it was a tradition in my family we let Emma experience it as well. They had characters dressed up and then Santa came to bring each child a gift. Emma is fascinated with Elmo so it was quite funny to see her reaction to a life size Elmo. She was the first child to sit on Santa's lap and was not afraid at all. Here are some pictures of her at the party.

The move is finally over

Well it is official, we are now in our new house. The move went great. We passed papers on Friday at 12pm and by 1pm we were off to the new house to start unloading some boxes. On Saturday with the best group of friends/family we started moving at 10am and by 2pm we were done with the move. We worked really hard the last few days to get everything ready for the holiday. We are going to get our tree this week and decorate the house tonight for Christmas. I just want to say Thank you to everyone that helped out with the move, and a special thanks to my Dad for all his hard work with hanging the blinds for us, and to my father-in law for all his help with finding us the perfect house. Love you guys!!!

Polar Express

Emma experienced her first ride on a train on Sunday the 7th of December. We took her on the Polar Express train in Newport. It was a great time and she really enjoyed it (so did Mommy and Daddy). They set it up really nice. They read the story throughout the beginning of the train ride and then we sang Christmas carols and had hot chocolate and cookies. After that Santa came and gave Emma a silver bell. It was just like the book/movie and I am really glad we were able to take her. She was so tired from all the excitement that she passed right out as soon as we put her into her car seat.

2 more days

Well we only have 2 more days until we close on the new house. We are so excited we can not wait. We will be able to celebrate Emma's 1st Christmas in a new house. Well other than that things are very crazy right now and we just want to get through the move and get settled before the holidays! Emma is as crazy as ever. She got hurt twice yesterday at daycare, but she is such a champ. She thinks that she can just go where ever and do whatever and she will not get hurt. My god I can only imagine once she starts to really walk!!!

Emma 7 month update

So Emma is getting so big. She had a great first Halloween and a great first Thanksgiving. We gave her some turkey and the fixings and she did really well. She was mostly sucking on her fingers since she mashed everything together on her high chair tray, so it was really cute. She started crawling on November 7th and has her first 2 teeth. She is getting tired of crawling now, so we think it will be only a matter of time before she walks.

New House

So I am assuming everyone knows this but in case you don't we have purchased our first home.
We close on December 12th, 2008 and can not wait. We are counting the days!
